Reaction to Vasiliadis failure

The 1. FC Saarbrücken reacts to the failure of Sebastian Vasiliadis (27) and will probably take midfielder Kaan Calkaner (25) under short. This was confirmed by coach Alois Schwartz at the press conference before the home game against second division relegated SSV Ulm 1846 on Tuesday (7 p.m.).

Caliser recently played in Poland for a year and a half. First he became a loan with Jagiellonia Bialystok champion before moving from Eintracht Braunschweig to Motor Lublin last summer. After 26 missions (one goal), his contract was not extended at the EkstraKlasa club.
Calkaner, who played 89 games (nine goals) in the 2nd Bundesliga, was one “who can replace the position that Vasi has replaced,” continued Schwartz. Vasiliadis had suffered a muscle injury in preparation, new studies on the calf showed that it will now even be missing until winter. However, the FCS in general wants to “also set up in such a way that we are prepared for all eventualities and can act accordingly,” said Schwartz.
