Ergin Ataman, the chief coach of the Turkish Basketball Team, made statements after the return of our National Basketball Team, which completed the second European Championship.

“The silver medal that came after years is a great success, the Turkish nation is proud of these children. But I am very sorry. History always writes the champions and we have missed it. I apologize to our citizens who are waiting for the trophy at the beginning of the screen.
“We would like to thank the Turkish nation who embraced us with an increasing support during the championship. These young people, these children represented the Turkish flag to the world with a great ambition to the world in the best way. We are proud, but I dreamed of bringing the championship to the Turkish nation.
“We know that we are the champion of hearts, but we will be the real champion.”
