With a dismissal after almost half a minute, Noah König set a record in the 2nd Bundesliga. Earlier than the central defender of SpVgg Greuther Fürth, no player had seen the red card yet, as it was said in league. In the game against the 1st FC Kaiserslautern, the 22-year-old was put off the pitch because of an early emergency brake.
It only passed 22 seconds until King Kaiserslautern’s Faride Alidou hit his foot from behind. After 27 seconds, referee Richard Hempel then showed the red card. King had only come to the second division team from TSG Hoffenheim II this summer, it was his fourth competitive game for the cloverleaf.
Previously, there had been only two references in the 2nd minute in the 2nd division. Most recently, Fabio Morena from FC St. Pauli – at that time at 2: 5 (1: 1) at the guest appearance at Greuther Fürth.
