Today HCAW had to win in its own Rob Hoffmann Valley to enforce another seventh and decisive match. It actually didn’t look like that for a moment. Neptunus took a 1-0 lead in the third inning thanks to a single by Dwayne Kemp. Offensing HCAW had little to nothing to say on throwing Tom de Blok.
There was hope when Victor Draijer, at a 2-0 deficit, hit a homerun for the home team, but Neptune answered because Christian Diaz also managed to hit the ball over the fences.
The last time HCAW became national champion was in 2022. For Neptunus it is the 21st national title in club history.
