Washington/Orem (dpa-AfX)-After the violent death of the right-wing conservative US activist Charlie Kirk, the US Foreign Ministry threatens foreigners with consequences if they justify violence on the Internet. Vice Foreign Minister Christopher Landau wrote on the platform X – without Kirk’s name: “In view of the terrible murder of a leading political personality yesterday, I would like to emphasize that foreigners who glorify violence and hatred are not welcome visitors in our country.”

He was outraged that some on social media justified or played down the crime. Landau continued to write consular representatives to take measures, without naming details. The Vice Foreign Minister called in his post to report comments from foreigners so that the Foreign Ministry can “protect the American people”. He did not provide examples or evidence of alleged actions by foreigners.

Kirk was shot in Utah on a appearance on a university campus on Wednesday. He was an influential representative of the Trump movement “Make America Great Again” (Maga) and supported today’s president in his election campaign. Searches for the shooter ./rin/dp/nas
