Wolter Kroes is annoyed by the way Johan Derksen speaks out about Dutch -language music. He feels very attacked. “It is a terrible old acid plum,” the singer brands.

It is no secret that Johan Derksen really has nothing to do with Dutch-language folk music. Especially if the hands have to be in the air, the VI-snor has already eaten and drank. And that is precisely where Wolter Kroes called on people in the Oranjezondag. “Sorry, Johan Derksen, sorry,” the singer called for the joke.

Terrible

Why did Wolter shout that? He explains it Shownieuws: “It is a terrible old acid plum. Hahaha. He thinks that Dutch -language repertoire even is disgusting. Not all it, but the popular. What we do he finds disgusting apparently. Also those hands up. That is also his good right, isn’t it?”

The people in the country love his music very much, Wolter emphasizes. He thinks Johan is completely wrong. “He also doesn’t see what is happening in the Netherlands.”

Disgusting music

Wolter says that he performed in IJmuiden last Saturday. “Then there is ten thousand people waving and clapping. Then such a Derksen can say: ‘disgusting music’, but there are a few million Dutch people who like it.”

Johan himself is more of the blues. “I will tell you: I listen to his music in the car. I like it. I also like blues music,” says the singer.

Sear

If it is up to Wolter, Johan immediately stops bashing his genre. “He doesn’t have to sear it that old beech. That’s a shame.”

What the hell is he so concerned about? “It doesn’t matter to me either, I have to laugh about it, only it is such a shame that he lets himself know in it.”
