At the Conbau Nord From September 10th to September 11th, 2025 it is about how the housing construction can change. In 13 specialist sessions, experts, but also around 30 students and over 250 industry-distorted, speak, for example, about how a coordinated exit from the gas network and the expansion of the electricity and heating networks succeed. Other topics include CO2 reduction in the building sector, building materials of the future as well as climate resilience and neighborhood planning.

Implement to maintain democracy

Many thanks to the partners for the commitment and the expert knowledge that they bring with Conbau Nordsays Dirk Iwersen, managing director of the Nordbau Messe, at the opening of the congress. Minister of Economics Claus Ruhe Madsen illustrates how important it is primarily to implement expert knowledge: We have to implement to maintain our democracy.

How the Hamburg should reduce standard construction costs

Living is becoming increasingly priceless-not only in Schleswig-Holstein, but also in Hamburg. Since 2016 there has been an increase in construction costs of 68%in the Hanseatic city. With the initiative cost -reduced building, the problem is to be packed at the root and the new Hamburg standard is to be created. The first quarters such as the Wilhelmsburg town hall district are being planned for this model.

Jacqueline Charlier, State Councilor of the Authority for Urban Development and Living, the Free and Hanseatic City of Hamburg, shows the way there at Conbau Nord. The project is accompanied by 200 experts, including Prof. Dietmar Walberg, honorary professor at TH Lübeck and Managing Director of ARGE EV More information about the Hamburg Standard can be found here: https://www.biebenschaftbarba.hamburg/

Fehmarn Belt Innovation, Hall 1

Students and employees at TH Lübeck exhibit two projects that were created in the summer semester 2025. Students and 3D printed living concepts have worked out in the Design Contest. You can see 15 student projects (models, posters).

In the summer semester 2025, students Christoph Schult, Mirjam Tabea Stannek, Elianne Kühnold and Marieke Wallenhorst, Prof. Benjamin Spaeth, Prof. Michael Hermann, Sascha Wunderlich and Anton Brodmann further developed the most promising concepts from the living design contest. The result is a 3D printed module, the so-called residential demonstrator.

In the 1: 1 format, the living demonstrator shows possibilities how large-format 3D printing in the architecture works. The dimensions: 3.40 meters high, 2.60 meters wide, 2.40 meters long. The module is two tons and was printed in a total of 50 hours by the Wohn A/S company from a composite made of recycled nylon and fiber fiber.

I particularly liked the project that we were able to implement the concept under real conditions. The exchange with the Danish company also worked very wellsays Mirjam Tabea Stannek.

The projects are in cooperation with the Danish company Wohn A/S as part of the Interreg Project Fehmarn Belt Innovation (6a).
