The Turkish club that hired Orro has acquired a slice of society. There will be a collaboration for the enhancement of young athletes
Fenerbahce lands in the Italian 1. After scoring the shot of the market with the engagement of Alessia Orro, blue director MVP of the last World Cup, the ambitious Turkish club has completed an ambitious operation. With an agreement, for now, three years, the newly promoted San Giovanni in Marignano (in which the former blue Serena Ortolani plays and which will play the internal matches in Cervia) becomes part of the Fener world. In fact, the Turkish company has acquired the club shares (around 30%) with a clear project: “The most interesting young people will arrive in Italy that Fenerbahce wants to grow. Not only Turkish players. An idea initially proposed to the three Italian Punta clubs (Conegliano, Milan and Scandicci, editor’s note) but none of them decided to accept” said the president of San Giovanni in Marignano. The operation will be made official tomorrow, Friday in Istanbul, in a press conference. In particular, the agreement provides quarterly comparisons between the clubs and the sharing of young athletes to be taken into consideration. This will be fundamental to the collaboration between the two coaches, both Italians. Marcello Abbondanza (Fenerbahce) and Massimo Bellano (San Giovanni in Marignano). An additional stimulus for San Giovanni because an agreement of this kind is bound to a continuity of results that summarizes in a word: salvation. Only the stay in A1 will guarantee the continuity of this ambitious project.

The Fenerbahce operation is only the last in order of time of a movement, the Turkish one, which looks to Italy with interest. The top athletes of our national team hire: Orro al Fenerbahce, Sylla al Galatasaray. Five of the best clubs in the Turkish championship will be trained by technicians in our country: abundance Fenerbahce, Guidetti the Vakifbank, Bregoli L’Eczacibase, Barbolini Galatasaray and Micelli Besiktas. To these must be added the coach Daniele Santarelli (with him European gold in 2023 and world silver in 2025) and Luca Pieragnoli, head of the Turkish youth national teams. The idea is clear: learning from the best women’s volleyball movement in the world.
