At the Amstelflat in the Pittelo district in Assen, someone fell off the balcony tonight. The victim was rushed to the hospital.
At the beginning of the evening things went wrong in the apartment complex on Amstelstraat. Due to an unknown cause, someone from the balcony fell on the third or fourth floor and finished a few meters lower on the canopy in front of the entrance. The police, ambulance personnel and the firefighters pulled out, just like a trauma helicopter.
According to a spokesperson for the fire brigade, the flat was struggling with lift problems. It is unknown how the victim is doing.
