Athletics World Cup 2025: When and where do the competitions take place?
The World Athletics Championships are from Saturday, September 13th (1 a.m. German time), until Sunday, the September 21, 2025 (about 2:30 p.m. CEST).
The organizer is this time Tokyothe capital of Japan. The time difference to Germany is seven hours. The competitions are in Nation -stadium held where 2021 the Olympic Summer Games took place – at that time largely without a spectator due to the Corona virus.
The stadium holds around 68,000 places and was opened in 2019.
The World Athletics Championships took place in Tokyo in 1991.

Who will broadcast the 2025 World Athletics World Cup on TV and live stream?
On television you can see the competitions of the 2025 Athletics World Cup live at ARD and ZDF.
The ARD Transfer on Saturday, Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Sunday.
The ZDF broadcasts on Sunday, Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday.
Both transmitters also show their program free of charge online in the live stream.
Eurosport broadcasts the World Cup live every day and free of charge on free TV. The stream on Discovery+, on the other hand, is chargeable. Sigi Heinrich and Markus Röhrig are commenting.

Athletics World Cup 2025: The prize money for medals and world records
For a Gold medal every athlete receives converted 60,350 euros ($ 70,000). There are half for silver, i.e. 30,175 euros and for bronze 18,960 euros.
By the way, if you make it to the final and get eighth or last, you will receive 4,300 euros.
Who succeeds in one World record to break is with 86,200 euros rewarded.

A total of 49 gold medals are awarded, in 24 disciplines – each for men and women (except for the heptathlon for women and the decathlon for men). There is also a 4 x 400 m mixed relay.
