In the future, the “Rock’n’roll Train” from AC/DC will no longer only be metaphorical, but capable of driving: The model railway manufacturer Märklin brings out a locomotive and three cars that are supposed to remind you of AC/DCS album “Black Ice” from 2008.

“AC/DC fans, hold onto your horns!” Märklin. “The legend is back-and it rolls on rails! The long-awaited AC/DC-Black ICE locomotive is finally introduced and is ready to rock your collection. A thundering masterpiece for real rockers,” advertises the manufacturer.
“This locomotive is more than just a model. It is a tribute to the unforgettable ‘Black Ice’ tour, a piece of rock history for your home. With its striking horns and the detailed design, it brings the concentrated energy of the stage directly into your display case or on your system.”
Again Metal hammer reported, the railway is not cheap fun: the “Black Ice” locomotive should cost 599 euros. The “For Those About to Rock” car, the “Hells Bells” car and the “Stiff Upper Lip” car will be for sale for 79.99 euros each. The items are to be delivered from October 2025.
“Black Ice” is the 14th international studio album from AC/DC. It was released on October 17, 2008. It is also the last album with the rhythm guitarist and band co -founder Malcolm Young, who could no longer take part in the recordings of the successor album for health reasons.
