COS opened its redesigned store in Berlin. The brand thus brings the store concept launched in 2022 to one of the key metropolises in Germany.
The peculiarity is that the 502 square meter store was designed by the H&M group’s subsidiary brand. The space is also intended to reflect the local characteristic of Berlin, as the rich post -industrial heritage.
The brutalist influences of the interior are supplemented by selected furnishings, such as a striking leather armchair Amon-Ra Casual Throne by Jean-Michel Gadoua or a hand-carved side table from Studio Aoao.

A white color palette forms a neutral background, the curved walls are provided with hand -mounted polished plaster and are contrasted by dark marble stucco in the stairwells and changing rooms.
The stores are designed so that they can easily be dismantled, which enables a large part of the interior to reuse. The wardrobes consist of rapidly renewable bamboo, which is delivered flat packaged to the stores and assembled without adhesive so that they can be taken apart more easily, according to COS in an email.
