In the US state of California, a natural fire threatens more than 2,000 year old giant quoias or mammoth trees. The so-called Garnet Fire, which broke out in August, reached the McKinley Grove forest area in Central California on Monday, about 300 kilometers southeast of San Francisco. According to American media, there are around 165 gigantic sequoias.
