Captain Anna Nordqvist and vice-captain Caroline Hedwall of Europe and the American captain Angela Stanford and assistant captain Paula Creamer exchanged the golf course for the cycle path.
Together with Van Empel and Nooijen from Visma – Lease A Bike, they drove from the train station from Den Bosh to Cromvoirt where the Solheim Cup will be finished from 7 to 13 September 2026.

Stanford, who has won the Solheim Cup with the US three times and three has won praise for the organization in the Netherlands: “The layout and the condition of the course were both fantastic, and I am planning to play as much information as possible in the coming two days.
“The team here is busy putting together a great program for fans – the kick -off of cycling was great! I can’t wait to be back with our team in 12 months and give the Dutch audience a great show.”
