Davies was forced to take a step back after a rare form of blood cancer, known as Kahler’s disease, was established with him in 2015.
In the message, the band members Davies remind us of “his warmth, resilience and dedication to his wife Sue”. “After he had had serious health problems, so he could no longer tour with super tramp, he enjoyed performing with his friends from his hometown as Ricky and the Rockets. Rick’s music and legacy continue to inspire many and testify to the fact that great songs never die, but live on.”
Supertramp was founded in 1969 and was successful in the late 1970s and early eighties. The band scored hits like Dreamer, from Now on, Goodbye Stranger, The Logical Song and Rudy.
