Türkiye experiences debacle against top favorites

Turkey won the first World Cup qualis game 3-2 against Georgia. Now it set a bad bankruptcy.
Spain has set a clear exclamation mark in the World Cup qualification. The European champion won 6-0 (3-0) against Turkey in Konya and took over the lead in Group E. Only the first will solve the direct ticket for the 2026 World Cup in the USA, Canada and Mexico.
Spain controlled the action right from the start. Pedri from FC Barcelona scored 1-0 in the 6th minute. Mikel Merino from FC Arsenal increased to 2: 0 (22nd) and 3: 0 (45.+1) after remarkable combinations. The fact that the lead at the break was not even higher was mainly due to the highly laid out Turkish goalkeeper Uğurcan çakır.
After the change of sides, the picture continued. Ferran Torres scored 4-0 in the 53rd minute, shortly afterwards Merino (57th) met again before Pedri made the final score with his second goal (62nd). The only downside for Spain was the injury to Nico Williams, who had to be replaced shortly before half -time.
Georgia and Turkey (three points each) are now in place behind Spain, Bulgaria is with zero points.
