The US president will attend the US Open in New York for the first time since 2015. At that visit, the Republican Trump was welcomed with boo -soup. New York is considered a democratic city.

Trump has been invited by a sponsor of the tournament and will view the men’s final of the US Open from a suite.

“We ask all broadcasters not to show images of disruptions of what kind of nature than the reason for the presence of the president,” can be read in a memo of the United States Tennis Association (USTA), the organizers of the US Open.

Trump was born in the Queens district in New York City, where the Grand Slam tournament is held.

Alcaraz

Alcaraz was previously honored with the presence of Trump. “It is a privilege for tournaments to welcome a president, regardless of the country he leads,” said 22-year-old Spaniard during a press conference after his victory in three sets over Novak Djokovic in the semi-final.

“To be honest, I will try not to concentrate on that, not to think about it,” Alcaraz added.
