The future of mayor Pieter de Crem of Aalter within the CD&V is uncertain, now that a deontological committee has to decide on his future. Last year De Crem at the local level with the Democratic Union (DU) actually founded his own ‘Political Forum’, with which he formed the List CD&V/DU in Aalter. Will that be his political rescue with a resignation from the CD&V? We gathered reactions.
