Amsterdam is going to pay for hundreds of families maternity care: ‘Parents are now afraid of the costs’

Midwives and maternity nurses have been noticing for some time that pregnant women in Amsterdam want less or no maternity care due to costs. This often leads to a worse start of mother and child, and therefore to more inequality. That is why the municipality will pay the personal contribution for several hundred families in Southeast as a trial for several hundred families.
