Hancko opened the score for the home team in the 42nd minute after returning David Strelec. Strelec himself shot the second Slovak goal in the second half in the far left corner.

It was the first time that Germany lost a match and World Cup qualifying series, after 41 victories and ten draws outside of Germany it now went wrong for the country that became world champion in 1954, 1974, 1990 and 2014.

In the group of Germany, Northern Ireland won 3-1 against Luxembourg. The ‘Mannschaft’ plays at home against the Northern Irs on Sunday.

Strong Start Spain

European Champion Spain started the World Cup qualification well. At Bulgaria, the team of national coach Luis de la Fuente with Dean Huijsen quickly ran into a 3-0 lead in the base. Mikel Oyarzabal opened the score in the 5th minute. Marc Cucurella made the second goal after half an hour and Mikel Merino shortly thereafter. In the same group, Turkey had won 3-2 earlier in the evening with Georgia.

Red Devils simple along Liechtenstein

Belgium made no mistakes at Liechtenstein. The Red Devils won 6-0. Maxim De Cuyper, Youri Tielemans (2), Arthur Theate, Kevin De Bruyne and Malick Fofana provided the goals. Wales had won 1-0 in the same group earlier in the day against Kazakhstan and leads in the group with 10 points from five duels. Belgium is third with 7 points from three duels. Northern Macedonia has 8 points from four games.
