Carlos Sainz noticed negatively at the Formula 1 race in Zandvoort, shouting against competitor Liam Lawson and the race management. RTL expert Christian Danner suspects that the Spaniard’s nervous costume is quite thin – because it is sawn at Williams.
Liam Lawson and the FIA racing commissioners brought Carlos Sainz to cook at the Netherlands Grand Prix. Because of a collision with his Racing Bulls rival, the Williams man in Zandvoort misses the points.
On top of that, the stewards blamed him for the incident in curve 1 – which Sainz made completely stunned. “This is a complete joke,” said the 31-year-old and announced: “This is not the level of race management that Formula 1 needs. As a driver, as a GPDA director (the driver union, note)-this is a serious topic that I will address.”
On the team radio, he had previously described Lawson as “stupid” with which it was always “the same”.
The way in which Sainz Lawson and the Stewards has been tackled is not okay for RTL expert Christian Danner. “You can’t get out against your colleague Lawson and, to make matters worse, this will take revenge, the president does not like that, the stewards,” Danner said in the “AVD Motorsport Talk” by “Motorsport-Magazin.com”.
RTL expert: “Psychological component” adds Sainz
Danner suspects that Sainz is slowly but surely going through the rays at Williams because of his weak results.
“Albon drives around him. He came from Ferrari, was spoiled for success and Grand-Prix winner. At Williams, he assumed that he had a grip in a few races. And where are we now? Far away!”
The former F1 pilot emphasized that the “psychological component” should never be underestimated in a Formula 1 driver, “emphasized. Albon “disenchanted” Sainz at Williams, said Danner. “These are all things that have an effect. That doesn’t go by.”
Sainz occupies only 17th place in the driver’s ranking with 16 points – Albon has already scored 64 points and is eighth.
