The former Red Bull employee, which ex-team boss Christian Horner laid serious misconduct in the form of abuse of power and sexual harassment at the end of 2023, is back in Formula 1 about a year and a half after its exemption. This reports the “BBC” on Tuesday evening.
For which team the former assistant of the ex-Red Bull team boss works, the report is not emphasized, but the “BBC” is known. However, neither the woman nor her new employer wanted to comment on the Romanian class at the request of the British broadcaster.
The accusations of the former Horner assistant are considered the trigger for the big Red Bull bang, in the course of the Briton at the beginning of July this year.
Horner splits Red Bull in two camps
The employee had accused of serious misconduct to her supervisor and triggered an internal examination, which, however, could not find any misconduct Horner’s. Horner was also relieved after a second examination. However, there were many internally and externally many who viewed the results of the investigation.
In the course of the so-called “Horner affair”, two camps formed at Red Bull. One supported the British, the other campaigned for his release. According to reports, it was above all the Austrian side of the group and the Verstappen camp that advocated an earlier separation from Horner. However, he received backing from the Thai fellow owners who initially enforced their will.
After going downhill in terms of sport in this Formula 1 season, Horner’s backing from Thailand also crumbled. The result was his discharge in early July.
