Pallets with 5,760 cans Red Bull. That was the loot in a burglary at a distribution center in Peize. A 49-year-old man without a permanent place of residence or residence had to answer for this yesterday at the court in Assen, but did not come up.

The theft of the cans happened at the end of November last year, while the man worked in the distribution center. With a special forklift truck he would have transported the pallets full of energy drinks that particular evening, and then load them into a delivery van.

Earlier the man would probably have wanted to steal a scales and pallet truck.

But the man did not show up in court. “He likes to be unreachable,” said the judge. Yet the court wants to try to make him present in a different way, to hear from the man himself what he has to say.

In the file, the judge came across an address from his mother, which he had previously given up as a home address. The Public Prosecution Service will send a call there, at the request of the judge.

It is unknown when the case occurs again.
