The Colorrun is a recreational running or walking tour in which participants are sprinkled along the way with colored powder. It is not about speed or performance, but about pleasure, experience and moving together.
The idea arose at Rotaract, the youth department of Rotary Texel who wanted to organize something playful and where money could also be collected for charities. And that turned out to be a hit on Saturday, because the event attracted nearly 300 participants, including many tourists. “We had quite a bit of tension in advance,” says Elise Glasbergen of the organization. “The weather forecast was not favorable and we didn’t have so many registrations a week before the event.”
