FC Liverpool has signed Alexander Isak (25) from Newcastle United and thus ensured two transfer records: the Swedish center forward is the most expensive access of the Premier League history and the Reds crack the global expenditure record for a summer.
In order to end the transfer theater to Isak’s favor, a transfer fee of 144 million euros was required. The last striking striker replaces his new team -mate Florian Wirtz (22) after two months as the most expensive purchase of the league history. The expenses of the Reds are increasing in an unprecedented 488 million euros – Chelsea was held the previous record, which was bought in the summer of 2023 for 464 million euros.
The commitment of Nick Woltemade (23) was decisive for Newcastles. The 1.98 -meter attacker switched from VfB Stuttgart to the Magpies for 85 million euros and cleared the way for Isak’s record transfer. Liverpool has completed the three most expensive deals of this summer and received his wish players-you can say that about very few top clubs: Isak, Wirtz and Hugo Ekitiké (23), who came from Eintracht Frankfurt for 95 million euros.
Real Sociedad San Sebastián is also happy about the transfer, because at ISAK’s 70 million euros in changes to Newcastle in 2022, the Basque Club secured a share of the transfer of ten percent of the transfer profit. As a result, around 7.4 million euros of the transfer from Newcastle go to San Sebastián. In 2019, BVB sold ISAK to the Spaniards for 15 million euros for 15 million euros-since then it has been directly involved in 125 goals in 241 games and is now the fourth player in football history.
