Immediately the emergency services made every effort to keep the dwarf fin fish alive, especially by keeping the animal wet. In addition, a bulldozer was used to dig a trench, so that the dwarf fin fish could swim back to the high seas faster. Eventually the animal could be accompanied back to the sea around 4 pm. In the early evening the dwarf fin fish rinsed twice more, but the rescuers were able to push him a little deeper and deeper. Around 6.30 pm he suddenly disappeared from sight.
