The Grand Prize of the Netherlands quickly develops into a spectacle. There is already a bang at the start. Meanwhile, Ferrari is experiencing a debacle – and Lando Norris is very unlucky.
Very important points in the struggle for the Formula 1 World Championship: Oscar Piatri won the Grand Prize of the Netherlands in Zandvoort and was able to expand his World Cup lead-because his McLaren teammate and worst World Cup persecutor Lando Norris resigned in two, shortly before the end with an engine damage. The Australian (309 points) is now already 34 points ahead of Norris.
Second on the course in Zandvoort, world champion Max Verstappen (Red Bull), who already passed Norris with a great maneuver at the start, but later had to give up the square. Isack Hadjar (RB) was surprised. Meanwhile, Ferrari experienced a debacle: Both Lewis Hamilton and Charles Leclerc were eliminated after unfortunate accidents. The only German in the driver field was no luck: Nico Hülkenberg (cleanly) finished 15th.
