The women from Bayern Munich gave vice champions VfL Wolfsburg in the Supercup and collected the next Tiel. The double winners with their new coach Jose Barcala won 4-2 (2-0) in Karlsruhe on Saturday afternoon.
Center defender Magdalena Eriksson brought Bayern with a wonderful shot in the left kink in front (18th minute), Jovana Damnjanovic increased with a strong individual campaign (25th). After the break, the more passive Wolfsburg women were more determined and after a ping pong campaign by Vivien Endemann came to the connecting goal (58th).
Lea Schüller finally brought Bayern to the winning road (72nd) with a dream goal. After a foul in the Wolfsburg penalty area, Georgia Stanway increased to 4: 1 (78th). Wolfsburg also scored a penalty goal, Janina Minge shortened (88th) – the goal was too late for a promising catch -up.
Munich with a concentrated start
In the first competitive game of the season, the Munich women were sorted internally somewhat faster and developed a chance to score early. Gerogia Stanway came to the shot in front of Stina Johannes, but only hit the VfL keeper Stina Johannes in the middle of the goal. But the first exclamation mark was set.
The leading goal was preceded by a remarkable move by the Munich ninner on the right side: Starting from Momoko Takanawa, the ball revolved around the penalty area of the cup winners from Wolfsburg towards the headquarters. Stanway saw the 18 meters in front of the goal, Eriksson posted and put on perfectly. The Swede put the ball forward and pushed it with the left in the top left of the knick – no chance of defense for Johannes.
Damnjanovic with strong individual campaign
The Munich women left no space from the opponents from Lower Saxony and were almost banged as well as any offensive action. For this, Damnjanovic took heart in the 25th minute, shook VfL defender Joelle Wemeyer easily and hammered the ball from the left corner of the five-meter room with left. Shortly before, Carolin Simon had hit Johannes from a promising position and missed Lea Schüller the rebound.

On the other hand, something only happened ten minutes before the planned half -time whistle. But Lileth Beerensteyn misjudged from the right side from the right side of her compatriot Ella Peddemors and put her header on the crossbar from eight meters. She then promoted the rebound – slightly surprised – from five meters from gate removal to the right of the gate.
VfL after the break more present
After the break, the Wolfsburg coach Stephan Lerch made more steam – and were rewarded. After a corner from the right of Svenja Huth, the Munich women did not bring the ball out of the danger zone. After a few missteps, the ball landed at Endemann, who shot the ball into the goal with a lot of overview. Shortly before, Eriksson had almost promoted Huth’s cross from left into his own goal.
Munich controlled – and increased
The Wolfsburg players could hope for the equalization for about a quarter of an hour – but then the troop from Munich put on the pace again and decisively hung the team around captain Alex Popp.
At first, Schüller showed her great quality in a pass when she accepted the ball high and enforced the rotation volley unsustainably. Then Justine Kielland against Lena Oberdorf, who had recently substituted, knew how to help herself when she pulled her opponent to the ground and dealt with the second yellow card within twelve minutes. The yellow-red card followed a penalty in which Stanway was published Johannes and tough on the bottom right.
In the final phase, Oberdorf made a yellow -worthy foul against Beerensteyn, the due penalty for drog minge left into the goal, Mahmutovic had chosen the other corner. But when the six -minute injury time was whistled, Bayern Munich celebrated the first title of the season in the Karlsruhe Wildpark in front of around 16,000 spectators.
