Much indicated that the striker was borrowed from the German record champion. But now everything is different – for curious reasons.

Football record champion Bayern Munich missed his next transfer goal. As sports director Max Eberl confirmed, FC Chelsea got out of the planned loan business with Nicolas Jackson. “Chelsea informed us that you would like to have the player back after we agreed yesterday,” said Eberl after the 3-2 (2: 0) at FC Augsburg: “Now the situation is that the boy is here in Munich and that we will send the boy back.”

Bayern had agreed with the Londoners on a one -year loan including the purchase option for Jackson. The Senegalese striker, who was recently not part of Chelsea’s Premier League squad, had already arrived in Munich on Saturday to complete his medical check. After the violation of striker Liam Delap, the Londoners returned again.

In our view, Jackson “would have been a very, very good fit, he would have been very, very well fitted,” said Eberl: “Now the situation is just like that and now we have to try to solve it again.” The transfer window closes next Monday, Bayern want to strengthen the thin offensive with a loan player.

Together with coach Vincent Kompany and sports director Christoph Freund, he wanted to “decide in peace and quiet what you do, how you do it, what is still possible,” said Eberl: “Everyone will roll up their network and contacts again and then you can see what is possible.”
