The court in Breda postponed the final piece in a large weed process. A suspect has surfaced who had been without a trace for ten years. The judges would actually make a decision on Friday, but instead they gave the suspect to answer questions. The man who is caught is Hassan C. (46) from Etten-Leur. He is best known for his ‘ghost villa’.

Hassan is said to have been in De Wiet and Hash, together with two brothers and a dozen other suspects from Roosendaal and the surrounding area. They ran two from a tea house in the Molenstraat in Roosendaal grow shops In Etten-Leur and a weed drogery in Sprundel. Their drugs went to France.

‘Bathroom full of gold’
The police got a breath of air and used undercover agents. They invited a sister of the ‘drug brothers’ for a short vacation on the Costa del Sol in Spain. The sister said that her brother Hassan on the Robijndijk in Roosendaal had a house furnished with swimming pool, sauna and cinema and that ‘a bathroom full of gold’ was covered.

The police discovered that it was a villa with a breath. The house was bought by a Colombian woman in 2012 for more than 700,000 euros, with money from Morocco and the United Arab Emirates. Then the woman had emigrated. Hassan would live there, think the police and the judiciary.

In June 2015, the police rolled up the alleged gang. There was also a raid in the villa. Agents discovered toilet spaces full of gold leaf. In another house where Hassan normally lived, the police found a box with 28 mobile phones. There was also a money slot machine that had counted nearly 14,000 banknotes.

Hassan’s brother is the main suspect. De Roosendaler Said C. (60) used to be a member of parliament in Morocco, owner of the Roosendaal coffee shop Galaxy and then director of a travel agency in the 1990s.

Process
In March, April and May this year, the trial in Breda was against twelve suspects. The highest requirement – four years – was for the alleged leader: Said C.

His younger brother Hassan would have to be in jail of the OM for more than three years. Justice also wants to take 1.3 million euros from him. He would have laundered that money with the notorious villa on the Robijndijk in Roosendaal. Van Hassan is not known, no company, nothing at all.

Control
Hassan never came up with his trial and was without a trace for more than ten years. But last month he ran into the lamp during an identity control in Rotterdam. That is why the court postponed the judgments to ask him some questions.

Hassan appeared in the courtroom in Breda on Friday. He denied all accusations. He was not busy with drugs. “No absolutely not.” And he was also not in a crime organization. “In what? No.”

Politics
The contact has long been watered with his brother Said, he said. Hassan thinks Said had nothing to do with drugs either. “No, it was only concerned with politics in Morocco. He was committed to the reef. All Moroccans know that.” (De Rif is a region in that country, ed.)

Hassan responded immediately to the request of one of the lawyers or Said. “If you say something to the king there, then you are dead”.

Hassan his lawyer asked for acquittal and immediate release. Because it’s an old thing and he is the only one who is now in custody. But the court rejected that request.

Hassan himself was the last to speak and again denied. “The question is soft drugs, not about hard drugs.” He also complained that this research was ‘ten years old’.

On October 7, the court will still rule on all twelve suspects.

In this case there were first more suspects in the picture. For example, there was a Roosendaler who lived in Spain. But in 2020, fake agents kidnapped him and since then no one has ever heard anything from him. It is feared that he was murdered.
