The new viaduct on the N391 between Emmen and Ter Apel has been named Pottendijk. Today was the official opening by deputy Henk Jumelet (CDA) and alderman Jan Bos (Wakker Emmen).
According to the province of Drenthe, the new viaduct ensures more safety and a smoother flow on the motorway. The project is part of a larger renovation of the N391, which improves the accessibility of Southeast Drenthe. “Emmen has a lot of activity and the largest industrial cluster in the Northern Netherlands. For all that good wrong, good flow is indispensable,” says Alderman Bos.
