Belgian is European Champion commuting: we are on average 57 minutes on the way to and from work. How is that?

On average, the Belgian employee is almost an hour on the way to and from work. This means that we are at the top of Europe, according to research by SD Worx. The ‘top -up people’ are even longer than one and a half hours a day on the road. How come we continue to do so massively? And how do we prefer to move? “Belgians show themselves willing to commute for a long time, but they mainly want to do that in a smart way.”
