Fearnley in Flushing Meadows
At the US Open, Fearnley took a first attempt twelve months ago, but failed in the first qualification round. He was spared the qualification this year. The Briton won its first main field match in Flushing Meadows two days ago against Roberto Bautista Agut in four sets. Jacob Fearnley
Fearnley has been playing on the ATP tour for over a year and has recently played his best result as a quarter-finalist in the London Queen’s Queen’s Club. At the Masters and Grand Slam level, the 24-year-old did not yet get beyond the third round. Nevertheless, the Englishman recently made the leap below the top 50 (49th), is currently run as number 60.
