“We expect that the construction of the new artificial grass pitch can start in the week of 8 September,” writes a spokesperson for the municipality. “This is slightly out of pass with the original planning, but the council’s assignment to realize a new field this year will certainly succeed.”
Move competitions
Hugo den Hartog is disappointed that the renovation still has to take place during the football season. “We will soon have a field less and will therefore have to shift with competitions,” says the chairman.
The work is expected to take six weeks. “Then we have a field less and there may still have to be competitions at 6 pm on Saturday,” says Den Hartog. “In the most extreme case, competitions may have to be reversed. But luckily that is temporary and hopefully we will have a nice field afterwards.”
