Due to ‘serious breach of duty’, the police have dismissed an employee who was responsible for supervising agents with traumatic complaints. According to his employer, the police officer of the Police Services Center (PDC) was guilty of cross -border behavior against various colleagues.

That happened at the Blauwe Haven, a bundle of projects for colleagues with mental overload such as PTSD and Burn-Out, where he was active. In this treatment, an attempt is made to have burnout complaints repaired through physical activities, including through sloop rowing on the Maas in Rotterdam.

Female agents complained about inappropriate sexual rapprochement attempts by two police officers

The police started an investigation into potentially undesirable behavior at the Blauwe Haven in mid -September. A number of female agents who were treated for PTSD complained about inappropriate sexual rapprochement with two police officers. Because signals received on several units, Chief of Police Janny Knol ordered the National Internal Investigations (LTIO) team to investigate the investigation.

This led to a criminal investigation by the Public Prosecution Service and an (internal) disciplinary investigation against the PDC employee. The employee was not prosecuted, because the OM was of the opinion that disciplinary intervention was preferred. The results of the criminal investigation were therefore included in the disciplinary investigation against the employee.

Marine

Now that the investigation has been completed, Korpschef Knol concludes that “in view of the behavior, circumstances and his attitude” penalty dismissal for the employee concerned is the only suitable measure.

The investigation into possible abuses at the Blauwe Haven also led to a suspicion of breach of duty by a second police officer: the project leader. This agent is a former marine who has been employed by the police for 25 years. He is one of the creators of the Blauwe Haven.

The research against the former project leader has not yet been completed. He has reported sick, so that the investigation against him is seriously delayed. The research has been more difficult in recent months because female agents did not dare to explain.
