MIlano, 26 Aug. (askanews) – From 5 to 20 September the Umbrian music festival returns, the 80th edition for this music review which represents a point of reference for lovers of classical music in Italy. “This year the review is dedicated to the theme of” visionaries ” – explained the director of the review, the master Enrico Bronzi – artists and musicians who have been able to overcome the language of their era to expand their imagination with prophetic content or even just bizarre, full of vision and imagination. They are the artists most dear to me, which in some way make art a not marshy and stagnant reality in continuous evolution.
The Umbrian music festival is promoted by the Perugia Classical Music Foundation and will present over 30 events, It will take place in Perugia and in some of the most suggestive cities in Umbria, from Torgiano to San Gemini, from Montefalco to Foligno, to Scheggino.
“A tribute to those artists ranging from the Middle Ages of Hidelgarda von Bingen to John Cage, passing through many figures – Lully, Rebel, and Carl Philipp Emanuel Bach – to whom we will dedicate an important space, artists who have a sort of predisposition to travel different paths compared to their contemporaries” says the artistic director.
A musical story through extraordinary artists, from the Bychestry Academy Orchestra to Ilya Gringols, from Diego Ceretta with the Tuscany Orchestra to Gary Gravento name a few. “There are really many appointments not to be missed – concludes Bronzi – such as the piano recital of Roberto Plano and beyond. It is a story that will also make us know new authors, not so frequent in Italian programming and at the same time will also make us known visionary aspects of authors of the great tradition”
