At the flea market of the childhood home region, a surprising discovery came up: their own former favorite pants over 20 years ago.

When Hanna Kärkinen34, was visiting his home region in North Karelia, he made a surprising discovery at the flea market. At a small rural flea market, his own favorite pants came over 20 years ago.

From the flea table box, the first familiar purple color was the first. The label revealed the same nostalgic sign, and more accurate exploration revealed that the legs were once spread and shortened by Grandma.

Kärkinen also recognized the pants for their own belt loop. The loop had already come off at his own use. Hanna Kärkinen’s home album

Kärkinen recalls that he has given up his pants around 2003. First they were given to the little sister, after which they were sold forward. He certainly does not remember where the pants were sold, but suspects that they have ended up in a nearby flea market.

The pants went on for four euros. Although they still fit perfectly on top and have also been used a couple of times, the discovery primarily had nostalgic value.

It is incredible that they have remained in such good shape.

– It was a fun coincidence that the pants were on the flea market just when I was visiting the old homeland, Kärkinen wonders.

The condition of the pants was also surprising.

– It is incredible that they have stayed in such good shape. I used them a lot myself. Before, the quality of the clothes has been clearly better, as these pants have lasted until here.

Kärkinen found his old pants at a great time, as the 21st century fashion is again on the surface.

– It is nice to see how fashion circles the same ring, and old trends come again. It arouses nostalgia to many, and the younger generation gets to experience fashion for the first time, says Kärkinen.

From the necessity of childhood to a lifestyle

The pants were a flea find for the second time, as Kärkinen had originally bought them from a flea market. He has been a keen visitor to flea markets throughout his life. At a young age, he noticed that he could find good and unique clothes that can be found by editing his own style.

Nowadays, going to flea markets is a way of life and even a job. He recorded his flea finds on Instagram to @fintagea.

– It has gone away from the necessity of childhood and has become a lifestyle, says Kärkinen.
