This morning was a stab incident in the reception location for nuisance -giving asylum seekers in Hoogeveen. A person was injured and transported to the hospital. The police have arrested a suspect.
That is what the Central Agency for the Reception of Asylum Seekers (COA) and the police say. The COA does not make any statements about the circumstances of the incident, but lets you know that both the suspect and the injured residents are of the location.
The police are currently investigating and only commented on the identity of the suspect at a later time.
At the enforcement and supervisory location (HTL), in addition to the asylum seekers ‘center on the Kinholtsweg in Hoogeveen, asylum seekers who repeatedly cause nuisance and are therefore no longer taken up in a regular asylum seekers’ center.
