The jury of five journalists in Iltalehti tasted nine different meal buns.
Each meatball got a school grade on a scale of 4-10. The average of these grades became the final grade for each product.

The highest grade was given to two meal buns.
According to the jury, the meatballs of Palvar in Kivikylä were meaty, good -tasting and well seasoned.
Atria’s rustic artisan spins, on the other hand, attracted praise for the homemade symbol and flesh.
The third place is also divided between the meatballs of the chef’s mansion and the manor of the mansion.
The jury of the worst rating gave Dulano to Swedish meatballs. According to the jury, these food buns were tasteless and rubber in their composition.
Shared 1. Place: Kivikylä Palvar’s meatballs and Atria artisan rustic meatball

Kivikylä Palvar’s meatballs have a meat content of 88 % and the meat used in meatballs is Finnish pork. The buns include onion, spice pepper, black pepper, coriander and garlic according to the product description. Fat in these buns has 21 grams per 100 grams.
– Good taste and good spices. It tastes like these were made in a pan. Meatballs also taste like meat.

These meatballs are 80 % of Finnish cereal pig and cattle. The rustic artisan vaults are flavored with garlic, coriander and ginger.
– The meatballs look like they are made at home. Really meaty and good taste.
– A good baking surface that has not been seen in other buns. Fleshy.
– Meatballs are pleasant, though onion would be a good addition.
3. Place: Snellmann decent meatballs

Snellmann’s meatballs are the flesh and greasy of the test. Meatballs are 95 % Finnish pork. They also use a self -made meat broth, including beef, onion and salt.
– The flavors are really good and the meatball tastes like meat.
– Good and quite soft texture, not lumpy. The start is pretty tasteless.
– Tastes a little bit of the grill left, not very fleshy.
– Authentic tasting.
Shared 4th place: Chef’s meatballs and manor mamma meatballs
Graduates: 7½
The meatballs in the picture are 300g and costs € 4.19 (Prisma Viikki, 2.7.2025). Kaisa Vehkalahti
The chef’s meatballs are 87 % Finnish beef and pork. The meatballs are flavored with pepper, salt, onion and Finnish butter. These meatballs are the most expensive in comparison, with a price per kilo of up to € 13.79 per kilogram.
– Looks like a salty. Good composition.
– Good flesh and onion amount. Tastes homemade.
– The color is not inviting. However, the composition and taste are good.
– The spices are missing and the salt is too little. The onion tastes strong.

These meatballs contain 50 % pork and 11 % of beef. The meat is domestic. Spices include coriander, chili and peppers.
– Really big buns. Good taste, onion seems to be a lot in the bun.
– Good basic onion with meatball.
– Not good, but not bad. Pretty traditional snack with a little vegetable -like mouthfeel.
6th place: Atria’s decent everyday meat bumps

The meatballs contain 51 percent of domestic grain pigs, chicken and cattle. Spices include peppers, coriander and salt. Meatballs are the lowest fat in the test.
– Really chicken dumplings, remind me of the school chicken spins. Do not work alone.
– Not very special buns, somehow evenly spices and taste.
– A reasonably good texture, not dry. However, the taste is not terribly.
7th place: HK meatballs
Grade: 5+

The meat bulls have a meatball content of 16 % and are the least meaty in the test. The meatballs contain Finnish beef, turkey and chicken. These meatballs are the other cheapest in the test.
– Exciting composition and taste.
– The meatballs taste cheap and have a strange taste of cardamom.
– Tastes like a meatball, but there is a bit of cardamom in the taste. The mouth is special.
8th place: The manor’s meatballs

In these meatballs, the meat content is 17 % and contain domestic poultry, chicken and pork. In addition, they contain poultry leather. Spices include peppers and coriander.
– The buns are pretty tasteless and I can’t really find meat. Fatty essence.
– The mouth feel and structure are good. However, the meatballs are tasteless and needed salt.
– A greasy icebreaker that doesn’t taste like anything.
9. Place: Dulano Swedish meatballs
Grade: 4½
The meatball pack in the picture is 1 kg and costs € 6.49 (Lidl Kamppi, 30.6.2025). Kaisa Vehkalahti
These Swedish meatballs contain 48 % pork and 25 % of beef. The meat comes from the EU. The package does not separate the spices used separately, but there are onions of these buns.
– Meatballs are greasy and tasteless.
– The structure resembles super ball.
– Pretty bland meatballs. There is hardly any flavor and the structure is smooth and gummy.
