Comedy and drama, comedian and tragic. A combination always very practiced by narratives of all types and in particular by contemporary seriality, looking for stories (and formats) capable of responding to the needs of demanding and fragmented public.
The landing of the fourth season certifies the success of a series like Barrya black comedy (technically a “black comedy” precisely for the ability to mix plans and moods) by HBO and available on the Sky channels.
Bill Hader, protagonist and co-author of “Barry”
Barry Berkman (Bill Hader) is a former marine that has become killer commissioned in the Midwest; Moving to Los Angeles to commit a murder finds in a theatrical group, directed by the Insconic Cousineau (Henry Winkler, “Fonzie”), a space in which to find himself and reflect on his existence.
Over the seasons, Barry has passed through different adventures; The last season opens with the protagonist who comes out of prisonconstantly struggling with the restlessness that accompanies him in the long path of discovery and redemption.
Barry It is a sharp series, brilliant for writing and direction, where we witness not only the remittance between good and evil, but to a moral decline that grips the various characters, a metaphor for the decay of the human condition.
For those who love comedy with a bitter aftertaste.
