False start for Werder Bremen: The Hanseatic League must be clearly beaten at the Bundesliga start at Eintracht Frankfurt. It is the second sensitive bankruptcy in a row.

Can Uzun (22nd), Jean-Mattéo Bahoya (25th/47th) and Ansgar Knauff (70th) shot out the clear victory of the SBU. Werder only had to counter the goal by Justin Njinmah (48th).

The difficult phase continues for the Hanseatic trainer Steffen. Werder had lost the recent five test games in addition to the Cup. The pressure on team and the new coach should not be less after the clear bankruptcy. The SGE, however, underpinned its ambitions to qualify for the European Cup again.
