“A little ridiculous”
Curious mistake: TV reporter confuses Friedl with SGE professional

It was already a matter of sport for Marco Friedl and Werder Bremen for the Bundesliga start. After the game, a TV relay at the Werder captain goes one step further.
When Marco Friedl, captain of the inferior Bremen, after the clear bankruptcy and a jersey exchange with his former team-mate Michael Zetterer in Frankfurt jersey, started the interview, he was treated like an SGE player by Kleinfeldt.
With the words “Of course we still want to talk a bit about the harmony”, the Sky reporter moderated the conversation-in order to finally confront Friedl with the question of whether the 4: 1 success corresponded to the opening victory that was hoped for.
The noticeably irritated Friedl only replied: “I am a Werder-Bremen player.” When the Sky journalist became aware of her faux pas, she apologized immediately. “This is my fault. Sorry,” said Kleinfeldt. Both gave their hand. “We’re starting again,” added the unsettled Kleinfeldt – and then conducted the interview with the Bremen player.
Shortly afterwards, Friedl commented on the interview relay in the “Bild”. “I’ve never seen that before,” said the 27-year-old, whose understanding of the mistake is limited. “I had a talk before the game. 90 minutes later she doesn’t recognize me anymore. That is strange and also a bit ridiculous.”
For Friedl, things were going on the lawn before. Werder made it clear through goals by Can Uzun (22nd), Jean-Mattéo Bahoya (25th/47th) and Ansgar Knauff (70th). The SVW only had to counter the goal of Justin Njinmah (48.) at the league debut of coach Horst Steffen.
The difficult phase continues for the Hanseatic trainer Steffen. Werder had lost the recent five test games in addition to the Cup. The pressure on team and the new coach should not be less after the clear bankruptcy.
