He had disappointed for a long time, was written off – and is now celebrated. After his golden gate in the DFB Cup, Bryan Lasme also shot FC Schalke 04 against VfL Bochum in the 2nd division in 2-1 (0: 0). His goal in the 80th minute decided a torn game, four minutes earlier Hasan Kurucay (76th) had balanced the lead by Gerrit Holtmann (66.).
Schalke started strongly and massively. Vitalie Becker tried a violent shot from 25 meters that Timo Horn could steer over the crossbar with a spectacular parade (4th). But then there was a break in the hosts’ game, Bochum took command and came on a few occasions – and then a great chance to take the lead.
Karius saves Schalke and Horn Bochum
After a cross, S04 defender Kurucay got the ball on the arm and after Var check there was rightly penalty for Bochum. Kevin Vogt started, but failed due to Loris Karius (25th). On the last match day, Schalke lost 0-1 after a transformed penalty, now there was an upswing again due to the great act of the goalkeeper.
After that, the “royal blue” were able to make the small district derby more balanced and shortly before the half-time whistle, the large Karius had almost refined. After a ball win, Schalke switched quickly, Christopher Antwi-Adjej sprinted alone on Horn after a steep pass, but the VfL keeper was also in a rescuer with a foot parade (45.+4).
0-0 game? Holtmann meets out of nowhere
The unobtrusive Moussa Sylla, which had been inconspicuous until then, also graduated from Adrian Gantenbein too little from ten meters (54.). Overall, however, the defensive series determined the game and didn’t let much burn. It looked like a typical 0-0 game was developing.
But then Bochum actually struck unexpectedly. VfL showed almost the first good speed attack in the game, which Karius recently ended with a strong parade against Mats Pannewig – Holtmann followed and caught the Schalke keeper in the short corner (66.). The left wing had recently hit SV Elversberg in the 2-0 win.
Porath has his new club cheered directly
But Schalke had an answer ready – and a very good one. Finn Porath celebrated a dream debt two days after his transfer by Holstein Kiel. Just a few moments after his substitution, the midfielder took a repaid corner of Volley and hit the leg of Kurucay, which faded the ball unsustainably to compensate (76.).
Schalke now believed in victory again, had a lot of physique in the square and often tried it with high balls. So it became dangerous after a header from Timo Becker, after which Horn got the ball on the hand (79.).
Lasme puts on the personal Winning gate double pack
And then lasme struck again, he also substituted. “I didn’t plan to change two goals”Schalke’s coach Miron Muslic told the broadcaster “Sky”. Of course, he also had no objection. “We have worked hard.”
This also encountered Lasme, the heroes of this derby. In two seasons, the striker had often disappointed and only scored four goals – and now he became a winning goal shooter for the second time within a week. After his golden 1-0 in the DFB Cup at Lok Leipzig, he brought Schalke back in the lead with a great individual campaign (80th).
With this, Lasme wrote his own personal fairy tale, because the long -term attacker was supposed to have no future on Schalke. But suddenly he showed how important he can be with his physique within a few days. In this case, Lasme also showed technical strengths and a precise conclusion – skills that had not been known on Schalke.
Schalke misses the decision – but still wins
“Then Schalke was like in the intoxication”said Bochum’s captain Philipp Hofmann of the Sportschau. “We have to be clever and interrupt the game to secure at least one point.” That was not possible. Instead, “Königsblau” had the decision three times: Horn let a shot from Becker clap, then threw himself into Sylla’s margin, then stumbled Kenan Karaman the great opportunity to 3: 1 (86.). After that, however, the chance of Sylla was even greater, in whose shot on the empty goal Colin Kleine-Küel still jumped (88th).
Nevertheless, Schalke celebrated a win after the 2-1 against Hertha BSC in the second league home game. Now the team of Miron Muslic also wants to add upwards, next Sunday Dynamo Dresden (1.30 p.m.) will continue. Bochum welcomes Prussia Münster (1 p.m.) in his own stadium the day before.
