A strong comeback and good luck – FC Barcelona needed both on the second matchday. The Spanish champion made a 0-2 deficit to the second victory of the season at UD Levante. Unai Elgzabal undertook an own goal in the first minute of added time, which Barca gave the 3-2 success.
In Levante, the team of coach Hansi Flick was clearly behind after gates by Ivan Romero (16.) and Josè Morales (45.+7/retailer), Pedri (49th) and Ferran Torres (52nd) ensured the quick equalization after the restart. After a flank from Lamie Yamal, Elgelzabal then steered the ball into his own goal and gave Barcelona victory (90.+1).
Lewandowski again as a joker
Robert Lewandowski was after his muscular problems, because he had missed the start of the season at RCD Mallorca (3-0), back in the squad, but was initially on the bench and was substituted in the 76th minute.
Stormmate Marcus Rashford celebrated his starting eleven debut, but remained inconspicuous and was replaced by Dani Olmo at halftime. Before the international break, Flick and Co. have to go away a third time next weekend, then at Rayo Vallecano.
