The impressive kick-off winner belongs to the past: Borussia Dortmund gave the victory that was believed to be safe due to two later goals. After a wild second half, the Bundesliga team did not get over a 3: 3 (1-0) at FC St. Pauli. BVB acted confidently over long distances.
Most recently, BVB had received a defeat against Bayer 04 Leverkusen on match day 2014 under the then coach Jürgen Klopp and since then decided every game on the first match day. This series has now ended.
The strongly laid out attacker Serhou Guirassy (34th minute) provided 29,546 spectators in the sold-out Millerntor-Stadion for the deserved guidance of the guests. Defender Waldemar Anton (67th) and Julian Brandt (74.) brought BVB back to the road to success after the interim compensation by Andréas Hountondji (50th).
