Successful reaction: Hannover 96 has rehabilitated for the end of the DFB Cup. In the 2nd Bundesliga, the balance remains flawless. The Lower Saxony jump to the top of the table.

Hannover 96 took over the league lead of the 2nd Bundesliga with a 3: 1 (2-0) against 1. FC Magdeburg. For coach Christian Titz it was a special success against his former club. The Lower Saxony celebrated the third win in the third game of the season.

In front of 40,200 spectators, the Japanese Hayate Matsuda put the hosts in the lead in the 17th minute. He used a deflected shot from Noel Aséko. Central defenders ime icon increased to 2-0 (43.) shortly before the break after a corner kick from Maurice Neubauer.
