The tension was great, but now it is clear which bands played the forester on Festival Friday (August 22nd): The dead pants were surprisingly on stage to support the anti-fascist festival in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania.
Jamel rocks the forester 2025: All acts at a glance
The festival initiated by Horst and Birgit Lohmeyer was again able to offer a strong and versatile line-up for the festival start. The appearance of the pants in particular should have inspired the 3,500 spectators.

Why they are again organizing at the festival, which the Lohmeyers in a village in Northwest Mecklenburg lived in by right -wing extremists, explains the band on their social channels as follows: “Our second concert here, unannounced, because it is not about the bands, but about civil society commitment. Initiators of the festival are Horst and Birgit Lohmeyer, who passed a farm in Jamel in 2004. The village in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania has been in the right-wing extremist since 1990 to shape it after ethnic ideal and to harass it differently-the Lohmeyers who saw themselves as democrats alone in 2007.
While the dead pants performed spontaneously in 2015 after an arson attack at the Lohmeyers and have felt closely connected to the event since then, Paula Hartmann’s appearance was a special highlight for the younger generation of visitors: inside.
Betterov, she-male trouble and the blackout problem also set further accents between indie, alternative and punk with their concerts.
The program items and bands were announced by well -known personalities such as Bela B., Matze Hielscher and Markus Kavka.
The fact that Jamel rocks the forester could take place again in 2025 was not a matter of course after the attempts to stop the festival. But the Friday acts impressively showed that the mixture of music and political engagement is still alive, and that the line-up surprises remain an integral part of the festival.
