Flemish Minister for Justice Zuhal Demir (N-VA) calls on people who have been a victim of abuse in a Flemish monastery to report to the competent committee. There they can count on an “empathic guidance”, even after the facts are legally barred. In the meantime, the Public Prosecutor of Limburg will start an investigation in response to the testimonials about abuses in the former Sint-Vincentius monastery of Zelem in the 70s.
