A Swiss banker looks for his partner in Argentina at the end of the dictatorship. He is, we know, a missing person. But Azor is not (or is not “only”) a film “about the disappeared”, but something else: about a world that is built on top of another, about an oppressive and ostensibly false universe that, whether you decide or not, must break. to reach some truth. The historical context and the climate are intended to anchor a universal story so that it becomes believable, instead of pointing fingers.
