In times of the climate crisis, energy transition and shortage of skilled workers, well -trained experts are needed who actively shape sustainability in the building sector – that’s exactly what we offer
says course manager Prof. Christian Blatt. The NGB students of the TH Lübeck are characterized by unique selling points: they not only consider sustainable building technology, but also the building with the appropriate use. In addition, the students have the opportunity to qualify for the energy consultant and the energy consultant for residential buildings.
The course combines well -founded engineering and application -related qualifications with direct training experience in a company. Students can apply their theoretical knowledge from the lecture hall directly in everyday work- be it when planning energy-efficient heating and ventilation systems or implementing renewable energy concepts. The combination of civil engineering, sustainability and house technology offers a great basis for later professional life
is Nick Helbig, student of sustainable building technology in the 2nd semester.
Studile: Answer to the shortage of skilled workers
Studiles stands for studying with integrated teaching and takes place in close cooperation with the Lübeck Chamber of Crafts. Sustainable building technology is the latest degree course in the portfolio, other TH Lübeck courses have been there for many years – including the related course of civil engineering. The program also convinces the companies:
We have been training civil engineers in cooperative studies since 2009 and benefit greatly from the practically trained specialists who can already gain a lot of experience on our construction sites during their studies. In this way, the start after studying into the job for both sides is easy and very promising
explains Jan-Friedrich Schütt, managing partner of the Schütt group and long-time supporter of cooperative studies. Engineers in cooperative studies Sustainable building technology are another profit for our industry.
The graduates have diverse career prospects – for example as a project manager in engineering offices, as a technical consultant in the energy industry or in the development of new climate -friendly building concepts.
Structure and process
